SMOOTHIE OF THE DAY
Okay, so I’ve had my fair share of hyper-fixations over the years (shout out to all my past obsessions), but this new one? It’s the thing that’s seriously keeping me from throwing in the towel on the whole “leaving the house in New York winter” thing. I’m no chef, but this might just be a culinary masterpiece. And by masterpiece, I mean a cherry smoothie that feels like dessert but probably has some health benefits (I think? Hope?).
Here’s the deal:
1. Soak 2 tablespoons of chia seeds in 1 cup of water for 20 minutes. Like, just leave them to do their thing, no need to hover.
2. Give those chia seeds a stir, because we’re not animals, we’re sophisticated smoothie artists.
3. Throw in 1 cup of frozen dark cherries. Trust me, it’s a game-changer.
4. Add 2 tablespoons of ground flax seed because we’re fancy and healthy.
5. 2 scoops of protein powder. (I’ve linked the good stuff below because I’m not here to play.)
6. 3 tablespoons of collagen powder (linked below, obviously, we’re all about that glow).
7. 1 cup of water to make it all come together.
Blend, sip, and feel like you just made a smoothie that’s as tasty as it is probably good for you. You’re welcome.
